WHY DOES HIP MOBILITY MATTER?
Improve Posture
Tight hips are often indicated by a hunched posture when sitting cross-legged and they are also a consequence of long periods in a seated position. When your hips are flexible and mobile your posture improve and not just when seated, but in all positions. Your knees and ankles will move better and even your spine will move better. So by improving how your hips move, you improve overall how you move and how you feel throughout the day. .
Reduce Back and Knee Injuries
Tight hips can contribute to back and knee pain. For instance, people with tight hips or poor internal rotation will struggle to perform good squats. Nowadays we spend most of your time with our hips in external rotation, and with little to no movement into internal rotation. When we try to squat coaches often say to open the knees into the side to engage the glutes and to create more stability. However this is only needed when one has poor internal rotation and can’t have a proper squat form. These continuous compensations that the body does to daily perform certain movements, leads to stress into other joints and in this case often there’s stress, weakness and overuse of our knees and lower back. Fortunately, mobility training works as a corrective training system with exercises that work in each joint individually and can address these dysfunctional patterns, improving posture and reducing the risk of injury.

This 21 day Hip Health had extraordinary effects on me. Since my second birth I have suffered immensely over a hip joint and back pain, bringing numbness to my daily routine. It has brought to me movement around my pelvic area, the numbness is nearly gone and I could finally stretch my whole body again without contracting in some form of pain.
